I created this image from six photos of the same location, taken at six consecutive moments in time. This is the rock point of Steamer Lane, a sometimes perfect, and highly contested wave. I really appreciate how the spirit of the rock shines through, the years of fierce energy reflected in the face of the rock formation. Fluidity and constancy: the Pacific Ocean assaults the cliffs, slowly claiming them as her own.
